⇒ Community RULES ⇐

TL;DR ─ Keep it positive and be respectful.

NO Promotions

We’ve found that direct promotions actually hurt the community long-term.

Here’s why:

  • Imagine being in our community for a year and seeing 10-20 self-promotional messages daily. Would you still actively participate?
  • When groups become promotion-heavy, members stop checking messages and genuine discussions disappear
  • People naturally become “allergic” to constant advertising and tune out

What’s the difference between networking and promoting?

Allowed ✅

  • “Looking for a co-founder for my tech startup”
  • “Need help with Facebook ads strategy”
  • “Anyone experienced with e-commerce scaling?”
  • Offering help when others ask specific questions
  • Genuine networking and collaboration requests

Not Allowed ❌

  • “Check out my new service/product”
  • Unsolicited promotional posts
  • Direct sales pitches
  • Link drops without context or permission

Why this approach works better

We optimize for demand, not supply:

  • Keeping the chat focuses on genuine needs (“looking for X”, “need help with Y”)
  • Quality discussions draw more engaged members
  • People stay active because they find real value, not just ads

The result: A sustainable community where business connections happen naturally through helpful interactions rather than promotional spam.

What should I do instead of promoting?

  1. Be helpful first – Answer questions in your area of expertise
  2. Ask for what you need – “Looking for…” posts are welcome
  3. Build relationships – Connect with members through genuine conversations
  4. Wait for opportunities – When someone asks for help you can provide, that’s your moment

Remember: Focus on building relationships, and the business opportunities will follow naturally.

⇒ Community RULES ⇐

→ Ask for Permission
In an effort to reduce people sniping, fishing for clients, or generating leads from group members, if you’d like to message someone, you MUST ask permission first.

→ We Serve Others
Help and serve without an ulterior motive. Commenting ONLY “PM me/DM me” on every post without engaging in conversations, will get you banned. (except for posts saying “I’m hiring an XYZ – and XYZ is what you offer”)

→ Keep it Positive!
We keep it positive in here! Show up each day with an attitude to serve and help others, while encouraging those still learning. We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment.

→ Zero Bully Zone!
Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

→ Respect Other’s Privacy
Being part of this group requires trust. DO NOT screenshot a post to share it later outside the group. You’ll be removed instantly.

→ Use Discretion
Do not share confidential or sensitive information about yourself or others without consent. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. Do not engage in arguments or use inappropriate language.

→ Language
The language of R and X-rated movies will not be tolerated. Words like f***, c***, p****, sh**, will not be allowed.

→ Divisive and Spammy Topics.
Keep the conversation focused on entrepreneurship and related topics. Off-topic or irrelevant discussions will be discouraged. Here’s NOT the place for topics like: Politics, Religion, Bitcoin/Crypto etc.

→ Do not share fake news.
Verify information before sharing it. Do not share fake news or unverified information.

→ Avoid self-promotion.
While networking is encouraged, self-promotion is not allowed. Promote your business through engagement and interaction with others.

What is SPAM?

Spam is generally defined as unsolicited, irrelevant, or repetitive messages, links, or advertisements. In the context of our community, spam may include:

• Posting irrelevant or off-topic messages that do not contribute to the conversation;

• Sharing links to unrelated or low-quality content that is not useful or informative for the group members;

• Posting repetitive messages or sending the same message multiple times;

• Promoting products or services that are not relevant to the group’s purpose or audience;

• Sending unsolicited messages or direct marketing to group members without their consent;

In general, any message or content that does not add value to the group’s conversation or community may be considered spam.

It is always a good idea to be considerate of others in the group and to avoid self-promotion or spamming tactics that could negatively impact the group’s dynamics.
